Hoops 4 Hope is a basketball game centered around hope. Hope for early detection, hope for increased survival, hope for a cure!
The Ashe County High Lady Huskies basketball program is joins the effort of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association and over 1,500 colleges and high schools nationally in the organization's Play4Kay (Hoops 4 Hope) initiative. Ashe County will participate this evening when Forbush visits West Jefferson.
The junior varsity girls game tips off action at 4, followed by the JV boys, the varsity girls and the varsity boys. Tip for the girls game is usually between 6 and 6:30.
The mission of the initiative, which was brought to life in 2007, will remain intact: a nation of coaches raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond.
The Lady Huskies ask that you please wear pink to support the cause.
